Calling Coyotes is a cut above average for a "formula" calling and hunting book. It's filled with extra details. The author's extensive experience shows and he is particularly well versed in hide preparation and added a lot extra detail in his chapter on guns and ammo. Lightly illustrated in B&W and 150 pages long, this book is at least intermediate level in most areas and advanced in others. No index. Well worth searching out and reading.

Rick Jamison has a B.A. in Journalism and has variously held positions with Shooting Times, Field and Stream, Rifle, Handloader, American Hunter, Peterson's Hunting, and the Trapper and Predator Caller. He has a lifetime interest in hunting and has pursued predators full-time during winter months to fill in the lean periods when he was launching his freelance writing career.
