by Gerry Blair
Krause Publications (2007)

This is Gerry Blair's latest upgrade to his excellent series of "how-to" coyote hunting books. Updated for the new millennium, he takes all that experience calling, hunting, and writing that came in the Companion and the first edition of Calling and fine tunes it to produce the best of his offerings and probably the best of breed for the genre.
This is what the publisher said to try to get you to buy it:
"When Gerry Blair calls, predators listen and come running. In Predator Calling with Gerry Blair, Gerry teaches you the tricks, tips and techniques he has honed in his many years of hunting experience.
Blair covers coyotes, bears, lions and other cats, as well as fox and raccoons. So whether you are a beginner or an experienced hunter, you'll reap the rewards of Gerry Blair's many years of calling experience and be on your way to a successful hunt.
The publisher, in this case, got it right. In this updated second edition of Predator Calling with Gerry Blair the author has edited much of the first, added all new color pictures, and added two new chapters. The battery powered caller section was upgraded to to reflect some of the many changes in the industry, but just remember, Gerry is a hand caller first, and electronic calls come to him afterward. He goes to the sources for some new and welcome extra information. Fred Cronk added a couple of pages on call tube marketing. Major Boddicker added a chapter on Plastic-Reeded Calls. Rich Higgins gives a thorough and well-referenced discussion of coyote vocalizations.
Gerry's new book should be in every coyote hunter's bookcase regardless of your experience level.
