Welcome to Desert Hunter

Welcome to Desert Hunter. Enjoy your stay.

In coming months you can expect to see more articles on predator calling, electronic calls and sounds, and hunting coyotes here in California, Nevada, and Arizona.

Desert Hunter, as far as I can tell, is the first hunting website built on a dynamic content management platform called Drupal. It's a lot more than a forum and does many things you won't see at other sites. It allows registered members to easily add comments right to the page they're reading. It allows for users with increased permissions to become editors or administrators and add their own blogs, pages, or multi-page entries Drupal calls books. It also allows for collaborative efforts between editors to create and revise content. I have no idea at this point if the community will participate or enjoy the format, but I do know that no one else has taken the leap to this kind of totally interactive site in our corner of the hunting community. It's a lot more than any forum.

Speaking of the old forum briefly. It would be and easy matter to re-up the phpBB software and reload the old PM database with all its chaos to the new server, but after much discussion we're probably going to leave the monster lay.

You're advised to send me contact info if your email isn't in the old database and you want to read and post in the forum. The comments sections and forum replies will remain private at this time.

Some of you who have the time and would like to help, contact me.
