Welcome to the new site at DesertHunter.com. Click on the "Hunting" link under "Navigation" in the left hand column to take a look at the site's current content. You do not need to log in to see the site. It's a work in progress. Keep checking back.

Right now there is no immediate plan to open the forum, but registered users will be able to post moderated comments in most areas soon. Don't expect the mayhem and chaos of PM to be rebooted, but I don't foresee any word filters here either. I'm looking for ideas on what others want to see in an interactive website. Not familiar with Drupal? It's a different kind of website with a lot of potential for creating communities. Read about it here. I'll also post some reference materials you can find at the library, buy at Amazon or B&N, or download for free via BitTorrent.

Registering at the site is easy. However, registrations have to be approved by the admin. The admin right now consists of one person, me. The same guy doing the LAMP interface, database, HTML, authoring, and photographs (well not all the photographs, thanks to Elizabeth at V2 Photography and Design). There's an easy sign-up form - but I haven't had the time to really look it over yet. There's no FAQ, no registration rules, and no TACOS posted yet, all things on my never-ending to-do list, so I'm hesitant to register new members at the moment, unless I know you.
