Practice

Trap & Skeet, Sporting clays, 5-stand, and Duck Tower will make you a better shot. Many ranges and other organizations offer basic shotgun instruction. The best marksmen are aware of the components in good shooting form, even if they can't be "perfect" while they are hunting. Correct foot placement and good mount, vision, swing, sight, trigger slap, and follow-through are essential to effective shotgunning. The same techniques used to up your scores at the range will also up your scores in the field. There is no replacement for 10,000 rounds of ammo down the tube. Don't waste your time, gas, and money chasing coyotes without a lot of range practice.
